Ethiopia Washed Yirgacheffe Kochere

Two hundred fifty miles southwest of Addis Ababa, the capitol of Ethiopia, lies the small area of Kochere, nestled within the prominent Yirgacheffe coffee-growing region. Kochere contains washing stations that allows local farmers to process their coffee after harvesting. The Yirgacheffe has iron-rich acidic soil and a high altitude of over 1500 meters, making for ideal coffee growing conditions. The Kochere district produces some of the most lively coffee in the region. High in acidity with above average sweetness, this Kochere cup of coffee boasts notes of sweet peach, floral lemongrass, and black tea.
