Costa Rica Tarrazu La Pastora

Coopetarrazu, the coop, was established in 1960 by 228 small coffee producers in San Marcos de Tarrazu. This area was dominated by large producers who overshadowed the small farmers making it hard to have equal profits and a voice. Through years of work the coop was able to become an important contributor in getting 5,000 members technical assistance, low-cost loans, affordable fertilizers and employ 10,000 people. Today the Coopetarrazu controls the entire coffee production process from harvest to exporting which allows for consistently high quality beans year after year. Roasted to City+, medium roast, brings out the Tarrazu above average body and sweetness with balanced acidity. Brew a cup, using your favorite method and you'll pick up on the notes of orange, milk chocolate and brown sugar.
